Work Experience
I grew up in a middle-class family and saw my parents make sacrifices to provide me with a good education. As a result, I felt a strong sense of responsibility to make the most of this opportunity and chose a field of study in which I believed I could excel, as a way to honor their sacrifices. I have always been attracted by topics in agriculture since high school. I consequently began to learn in-depth information on topics like agronomy, farming, and animal production. Right after completing my graduation, I started working as an Agriculture officer at
Company name from
start date to till now. But working in an Organization couldn’t quench my thirst to explore more and gain more knowledge in this field. So, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Agriculture. In these two years of working, I have gained quite knowledge in preparing and implementing the project effectively in the field.
Reason for not choosing the Home country
The education system in Nepal has several limitations, including a lack of variety in course offerings, an outdated curriculum, a lack of trained teachers, and a lack of recognition for degrees earned within the country on a global scale. Additionally, the use of advanced technology in the classroom is limited and the training provided is primarily theoretical in nature. Furthermore, there is a lack of multicultural environments that can provide valuable exposure to different perspectives and ways of thinking. Therefore, for all these reasons I am not choosing my home country for further study. Despite these challenges, the recent political stability in Nepal has led to an influx of local and foreign investment, providing ample opportunities for graduates to work in established multinational companies. As a result, the current political climate in Nepal presents a unique opportunity for those seeking to build their careers in the country.
Reason for Choosing Australia
Australia is a diversified, internationalized, and secure country that has become a popular destination for international students. It is the second most popular international education destination, with 83% of international students reporting satisfaction with their experience. Additionally, it is considered one of the top 10 happiest countries in the world. The country’s official language is English, making communication easy for students from non-English speaking backgrounds. The weather in Australia is also similar to Nepal, making it a comfortable place to study and live. Furthermore, Australia offers an affordable cost of living while maintaining a high standard of living and education. It is known for offering job-oriented courses, with more than 1100 education providers and 22000 variety of courses.
According to comparing to other countries, Australia’s standard of living is amongst the highest in the world. Living expenses and tuition costs are considerably lower in Australia than they are in the U.S.A., U.K., and Canada. International students are able to work part-time while they study, allowing them to offset their living costs. There is also the possibility of scholarships, which help to lower the cost of studying in Australia for international students. The Australian government has also issued policies and acts that are beneficial for international students, such as the tuition protection service (TPS). TPS is an initiative of the Australian Government to assist international students whose education providers are unable to fully deliver their course of study. It ensures that international students are able to either complete their studies in another course or with another education provider or receive a refund of their up-spent tuition fees. Furthermore, international students studying in Australia have a number of rights that are safeguarded under the Education Services of Overseas Students (ESOS) framework, including the right to obtain up-to-date, accurate information on their courses, costs, modes of study, and other information. So, all of the above factors influenced my decision to choose Australia over other countries. And I also believe that studying in Australia provides me with excellent skills, knowledge, confidence, and career-oriented training to achieve my ambition in the future.
Reason for Choosing the University Name
Regarding, it was a really difficult task for me to choose a suitable institution. As I am planning to study in Australia for a Master of Science in Agriculture. I started performing extensive research to find the best educational institution that provides a course of my interest. During the research, I have found some popular universities which offer master in agriculture namely
1st University Name, 2nd University Name, 3rd University Name, 4th University Name etc. All them I select UNE for the desired institution. The University of New England provides students with rigorous training in processes of scientific research, with flexible study options allowing us to complete our Master in Agriculture in the best way that best suits our lifestyle. UNE course will be the route to Ph.D. study, by providing the pre-requisite training. The management system and source of study are also well-managed and these types of facilities influence me to study at UNE. More crucially, it is located in Armidale which offers modest accommodation options and affordable transportation services as well as offers me a tuition fee of AUD $….. per year which is affordable for me as compared to other universities like
University Name with annual AUD $…….,
University Name with annual AUD $……., and AUD $…. in
University Name.
During the course study, I’ll learn aspects of Agriculture, gain a chance to realize real experience and connect to the University of New England. The career options include policy, programs and projects within the government agriculture business, sustainable agriculture development and research opportunities. UNE’s agriculture science programs prominence high-quality, high-impact, interdisciplinary scholarship and scientific inquiry, supporting innovation and improving community social outcomes. I can build my career with a Master’s degree in Agriculture, within domestic and international markets, in the lives of others.
Reason for Choosing Master of Science in Agriculture
Being from an agricultural-based nation and agricultural background family I was always fascinated to build my future in this field since my childhood. Speaking about the statistics, more than 60% of people in Nepal are engaged in agriculture as a means of their income to fulfill basic family needs and to make a livelihood. It contributes about 27% to our nation’s annual GDP. Due to my interest in agriculture, my parent’s decided to support my dream at any cost and helped me to find the academic pathways toward an agriculture career. The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture became a breakthrough in my life because it made me exposed to the broad scope of agriculture in my country. The government has prioritized the agriculture sector, which has shown growth during the past ten years in Nepal. I’ve always been interested by the notion that humans have produced agricultural revolutions throughout history. I was greatly influenced by the idea of producing agricultural products and actually making a living off of them, as well as how much this increases the GDP of our country. I have a very relevant background for this course because, after looking over the UNE curriculum, I discovered that it was closely related to the subjects I had studied for my agriculture in bachelor’s degree, such as Agribusiness Management, Principles of Agronomy, Plant Protection, Vegetable Production, Horticulture, Sustainable Development of Agriculture, Animal Production, Soil science and so on. I also took a different course on Agriculture, so I am familiar with the foundational ideas. Nepal is still practicing primitive agriculture methods and we also lack good business skills and knowledge in this field. After careful study and research, I found that agriculture is the perfect subject choice for me which help me to fulfill my wish to do something good for my country in the agriculture sector. After completing my internationally renowned degree from the University of New England (UNE), I am confident that I will receive numerous employment chances, which include the following:
- Research scientist
- Agriculture extension officer and consultant
- Agribusiness manager
- Crop advisor
- Agricultural consultant
Not only that, I can start my career in any of the faculties like agricultural extension and consulting, agricultural research, banking and finance, animal health, welfare and nutrition, agricultural and veterinary sales and marketing, soil conservation and many more.

I will do my best to make the most of the knowledge and skills which I pick up while studying in Australia. In order to identify any shortcomings and make improvements, I will compare Nepal’s and Australia’s agricultural practice and strategies. I particularly look forward to taking part in the ongoing development of material technologies in the hopes that science will be applied in a system mode to better farmers’ planning and decision-making. In the never-ending search for sustainable farming techniques and tactics, I also look forward to examining the relationship between food availability and environmental degradation.
Moreover, Nepal is the country where I was born and raised. Everyone I know and value in my life is in Nepal, including my family, relatives, and friends. My only intention to go to Australia is to get an education of the highest standard that will help me to fulfill my long-term vision.
