A Relationship Certificate Nepal with Sponsor (Nata Pramanit) is a document that confirms the family relationships between parents and children. It is generally issued by the Ward office of Rural Municipality (Gaupalika) or Municipality (Nagarpalika) and is necessary to prove these relationships.

How to make a Relationship Certificate in Nepal

To obtain a relationship certificate in Nepal, you must visit the ward office of your permanent address with the following documentation:

  • Photocopy of citizenship of applicant.
  • Birth Certificate (in case of minor).
  • Each sponsor’s citizenship photocopy.
  • 2 Passport size Photo of applicant and each sponsors.
  • Fill Application Letter and submit to ward office.

How long does it take to get a Relationship Certificate ?

Duration: It normally takes 1-2 days to prepare a relationship certificate if you have provided all the necessary documents.

How to get Relationship Certificate?

For Single Applicant

For the Relationship Certificate, following are the list of family members who are eligible for the sponsorship:

  • Parents (Father and Mother)
  • Grandparents (Grandfather and Grandmother)
  • Siblings (Brother and Sister)
  • Relatives (Uncle and Aunty)

For Married Applicant with Dependent

Following are the list of family members who are eligible for the sponsorship:

  • Applicant’s Parents (Father and Mother)
  • Applicant’s Grandparents (Grandfather and Grandmother)
  • Applicant’s Siblings (Brother and Sister)
  • Applicant’s Relatives (Uncle and Aunty)
  • Dependent’s Parents (Father and Mother)
  • Dependent’s Grandparents (Grandfather and Grandmother)
  • Dependent’s Siblings (Brother and Sister)

Note: Incase of sponsoring from sister, she must be unmarried.

As per the application submitted by Mr./Ms. applicant’s name to this office for the verification of relationship, the following necessary investigation and concerning his/her family member’s record in this office, it is found that the following family composition shown in his/her family relation is true. This certificate has been issued accordance with the section 12 (E) (1) of Local Government Conduction Act 2076 B.S. (2019 A.D)
